Sean Lowe’s sister admitted that The Bachelor star and his family are not as perfect as they appeared to be on the show and also The Bachelorette.

Shay Lowe made the confession to AccessAlexis.com. She said when his parents,  brother-in-law, niece and nephew were featured segments about the hometown dates in Dallas, they were "represented well" but it didn't "accurately" describe them.

"I have had many people say that our family looks 'perfect'…well, it’s not,” Shay said. “My family is great and I’m incredibly blessed but it’s far from perfect. What you saw on both of those shows was just 3 days out of our lives. We have a wonderful family but I would hate for anyone to think it’s perfect. No family is perfect."

Sean introduced Shay on air during a hometown visit with six contestants on The Bachelor season 17. He revealed Shay was the one who signed him up to appear on his first reality show, The Bachelorette starring Emily Maynard.

On the hometown episode of The Bachelor, Sean told the cameras that Shay knows him “better than anyone else.” He added that his sister has what he wants— a marriage and children. Sean turned to Shay for advice when deciding which two of the final four women he should eliminate.
