The buzz surrounding the latest installment from the Star Wars franchise, Episode VII, continues to run ramped throughout the web, as the latest chatter is in regards to the casting competition for the Obi Wan character.

Actor Ewan McGregor, who had played the part in the first three episodes, is apparently concerned that he'll be passed over for the part in favor of someone such as Alec Guinness, thinking that the movie's top brass may want someone that looks older in age, according to Metro.

"The problem is that I played the young Obi Wan and they are going to be looking for an old Obi Wan and that's Alec Guinness territory," he said.

McGregor had no qualms about expressing his interest in reprising his role in the film, but also feels that director JJ Abrams may think that Alec would be a better fit.

"I'm waiting for the call but I think they're more likely to want an Alec lookalike than me," he said.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to occur around the time period following the events of Return of the Jedi. It's scheduled to launch on July 15, 2015. A fan-made trailer can be viewed below.
