American Idol Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson showed off the first glimpse of her baby bump since she announced her pregnancy. 

Clarkson appeared on the Today show Tuesday marking her first pubic appearance as pregnant showing off her little growing baby bump. (See photos here:)

She revealed that her first trimester has been a little rough dealing with morning sickness. 

"I don't know why they call it morning sickness because it's like all day and all night," Kelly revealed on Today. "I'm super excited about being pregnant, I'm just looking forward to the second trimester - they say it's better!

"There's a reason why I canceled appearances, because I was ill (morning sickness) not because I was lazy!" Clarkson said.

Though its too early to tell the baby's gender, Clarkson said she and husband Brandon Blackstock already knows what they want to name their daughter or son. 

"I'm way too early in my pregnancy to know gender, but I have a name for girl and boy, very prepared," Kelly explained, before admitting that she has a "gut feeling" it will be a girl. "We had kids names before I was pregnant!" she exclaimed.

Clarkson also joked about her being fat and now having a reason to gain weight. 

"Everybody calls me fat all the time, so I can't wait to have a reason, instead of everybody just being a jerk!" she previously said. "I've never been Gisele Bundchen, so ain't nobody expectin' that! I like to set a [low] standard so people don't expect a lot."
