NHL fans can live stream Wednesday's Winter Classic faceoff between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings for free online.

With 45 points, Toronto is in fourth place for the Atlantic Division.

Coming into the New Year's Day match, the Detroit Red Wings have an 18-14-9 record. After kicking off the season with victories over the Buffalo Sabres and the Carolina Hurricanes, the Red Wings were also faced with a tough December. Detroit recently raked up losses against the Philadelphia Flyers, the Florida Panthers, the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Anaheim Ducks, the New York Islanders, and the Nashville Predators while defeating the Ottawa Senators, the New Jersey Devils, the Calgary Flames, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Florida Panthers. With 45 points, the Red Wings are also in fourth place for the Atlantic Division.
