While there's been a slew of chatter over Jax's (Charlie Hunnam) potential unraveling in the seventh and final season of FX's Sons of Anarchy, several fans of the TV series are surely wondering what lies ahead for the SAMCRO president's mother, Gemma (Katey Sagal).

Jax To Be Accused Of Tara's Murder By DA Patterson?

The season 6 finale came to a halt with a shocking twist of events, as Gemma wrongfully murdered Tara (Maggie Siff).

Juice (Theo Rossi) had come to Gemma's aid via covering up the evidence at the scene. However, with his knowledge of the murder, he could very well be the one that informs Jax about what his mother did in order to make things right with him.

Judging the style of creator Kurt Sutter, the creative brass will most likely not rush Gemma's potential downfall, as Jax most likely won't be finding out that she was the one behind his old lady's death until the middle of or later in season 7.

Assuming Jax is able to move on with his life initially, the knowing that Gemma was behind Tara's slaying could send him down a darker, violent path, ultimately leading to her death. However, nothing has yet to be confirmed at this point.

Gemma To Go Off Deep End Mentally In Lieu Of Tara's Murder?
