It's double the joyous news for Thor: The Dark World star Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky as the couple is expecting twins. E! News confirmed.

The 37-year-old Fast & Furious 6 star is in her third trimester and is due in the spring. News first broke that the couple was expecting another child in November. Hemsworth and Pataky married in 2010 after just a year of dating and are already parents to 20-month-old daughter India Rose.

The 30-year-old previously opened up about fatherhood to Parade magazine in October, saying that fatherhood was one of the best things that ever happened to him.

"It's the greatest thing I've ever been a part of. When I am at work, she's what I'm thinking about, and when I'm not at work, she's who I'm hanging out with!" he said. "I think [parenthood] brings out the child in all of us. That's what's so beautiful. It reminds you of the fascination you had with things, and how you can spend hours just being with someone. It's amazing."

Hemsworth talked about his family's private life on The Ellen DeGeneres Show  back in September in reference to his brother Liam Hemsworth, who announced his split from singer Miley Cyrus the day before.

"I'm lucky. I've spoken to a few people about it. I don't know that you can ever...it sort of is what it is," he said. "At times you're a target and at times you're not. My wife and I, we kind of live a simple, boring life. We're not rolling out of clubs at 4 in the morning-not to say Liam is by the way...I mean, he has once or twice."

The couple was recently spotted at Sunday's Golden Globe awards, where Pataky accentuated her baby bump in a Paule Ka gown.

Hemsworth announced the 2014 Oscar nominees Thursday, Jan. 16.
