"Thor: Love and Thunder" star Chris Hemsworth opens up on his body manipulation history and it looks like the journey has taken a toll on the Marvel star.

Chris Hemsworth made his acting debut in 2002, and rose to prominence on the television series Home and Away. Later on, he debuted as a part of the Marvel cinematic universe in the film "Thor" in 2011, which led him to become one of Forbes' highest-paid actors in 2019.

Now, in the recent behind-the-scenes documentary, "Marvel Studios Assembled", the 39 year old actor reveals that his body has undergone many major changes throughout the course of his acting career.

"Each time I've played the character and put the muscle on and put the size on, and then lost it for something else and played another character, there's muscle memory, and I used to say it sort of got easier each time." Hemsworth recalled.

Taking a Toll on His Mortal Body?

Marvel fans may remember the Norse god wearing a fat suit for his role in "The Avengers: Endgame", and later on getting ripped again on "Thor: Love and Thunder". However, the "Cabin in the Woods" star reveals that his body may be taking a toll on the intense training he undergoes to get ripped.

"This was particularly hard. I think because the target weight we aimed for was quite a ways above where I'd been before." Hemsworth explained his recent physical struggle. "It was a really fun exploration, but I don't know that I wanna get that big again. But I was sort of... It was... Yeah, it was just exhausting. I don't know, maybe I'm getting old, but things just started to hurt more."

Hemsworth also detailed that he had enjoyed his fitness journey by switching up his training with swimming or martial arts, but considering the physical strain, he may not be willing to undergo the same intense training as before.

Hemsworth Casts Doubt on 'Thor' Future

While the end of "Thor: Love and Thunder" ends with the message, "Thor will return", the actor also casts his doubt on the future of "Thor" in the cinematic universe. When asked if the fourth film would be his last reprise as the Norse God, Hemsworth redirected them to ask Marvel about their decision.

"Thor: Love and Thunder" first premiered on June 23, 2022, and is available to stream on Disney+.
