Rush star Chris Hemsworth made a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Tuesday, and talked about his brother Liam Hemsworth's relationship very public relationship with Miley Cyrus.

The interview airs one day after Enstars reported that Liam, 23, and Cyrus, 20, broke up and put their wedding on hold after weeks of scrutiny following her VMAs performance on Aug. 25. Tuesday reports noted an update: the couple called off their engagement all together.

DeGeneres said Liam gets much media attention and paparazzi frenzy because of his personal life, but Chris admitted that is not the case with him.

"I'm lucky. I've spoken to a few people about it. I don't know that you can ever...it sort of is what it is," Chris said to DeGeneres. "At times you're a target and at times you're not. My wife and I, we kind of life a simple, boring life. We're not rolling out of clubs at 4 in the morning - not to say Liam is by the way...I mean, he has once or twice."

Chris married Elsa Pataky in 2010 after nearly a year of dating. The couple welcomed a daughter, India Rose, in 2012. The 30-year-old actor also told DeGeneres about how he and his brother both initially tried out for the role of Thor.

"I had an audition before Liam and I didn't get a call back. Liam got down to the final four, and I said 'cool I'll help you with that audition, and then boycotted that audition, of course, and he didn't get the part, and then I got in. It was a strange kind of team effort...we're competitive in everything I think apart from this business."

Hemsworth can be seen in Rush on Sept. 27, and Thor: The Dark World, out Nov. 8.
