Creator Kurt Sutter had spoken to The Epoch Times about his take on what Juice's intentions were in helping cover up Gemma's murder, which he says wasn't premeditated.

"I don't think it was a calculated move on Juice's part [to save Gemma]; in the moment he did what was expected of him. Sutter also spoke about the internal conflict that lies ahead for Juice, and the questions he must ask himself when the show returns.

"Does Juice keep this secret? Does he use it to his advantage? I don't know the answer to that. I just know we have something really fun to play with when we start the next season
