Justin Bieber's Instagram followers gave him a mixed response when he compared himself to the late King of Pop Friday, just a day after being released from jail for a DUI and other charges.

The Beauty and a Beat singer posted a picture on Instagram of himself leaving jail Thursday afternoon sitting on top of a black SUV waving at fans. Next to that pic was a picture of Michael Jackson also greeting fans but with a peace sign instead. According to Us Weekly the Jackson picture was taken back in 2004 after he plead not-guilty for his highly controversial child molestation charges.

Bieber added the caption, "What more can they say" and a crown emoticon.

Many of the pop star's more than 13 million followers had lots to say about Bieber's bold statement.

One wrote, "Don't start groping kids"

Another added, "Justin you were charged with a DUI, you could have killed somebody, or even yourself!"

Still, Bieber's fans outweighed the negative comments and encouraged him to stay strong.

One fanatic wrote, "Justin we are here, we never leave you WE LOVE YOU JUSTIN! We are Beliebers."

Another chimed in with, "...Know that your Beliebers will NEVE abandon you and I'm one of them. Show these people that they are wrong on all the criticism."

Bieber was released on a $2,500 bond. Other than his Instagram, Bieber has not made any statements regarding his arrest Thursday for a DUI, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest with violence.

But his manager, Scooter Braun did tweet Bieber.

He wrote, "[Justin] love you and I will act in the manner of someone who truly cares. That is all I have to say. Thanks for all those concerned...Been a long day. Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts. Love fully in good times and bad."
