As one Weatherfield resident struggles with how to say goodbye to love, another may be gearing up to find it on Coronation Street.

Coronation Street: Monday, Jan. 27, 2014

Roy (David Neilson) is having a hard time with planning Hayley's (Julie Hesmondhalgh) funeral, and is hardly able to listen as the celebrant discusses the plans with him. However, when he finally erupts and screams that everything needs to be exactly as Hayley wanted it, he begins to worry Fiz (Jenny McAlpine).

The pressure, combined with his grief, could push Roy over the edge.

Meanwhile, as he struggles with losing the love of his life, Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) may be closer to finding a new love in hers. She has been intrigued by the homeless Maddie (Amy Kelly) since she met her at a soup kitchen around Christmas, but the two got off to a rocky start.

First, Maddie stole Sally's (Sally Dyvenor) bag and gold watch, and when Sophie tried to get them back, Maddie requested £50-money which Sophie did not deliver, prompting Maddie to break into the flat and try to steal the watch back. However, she was stopped when Tim (Joe Duttine) woke up, and she punched him in the nose before fleeing.

Now, Maddie is set to confide in Sophie about why she needs the money so badly-she has a younger brother to take care of. Telling Sophie her secret could just bring the two young girls closer together.
