As the truth about Hayley's (Julie Hesmonhalgh) death spreads throughout Weatherfield, the relationships between characters will be tested on Coronation Street.

Coronation Street: Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014

Fiz (Jenny McAlpine) suspects something doesn't add up as far as her one-time foster mother's death goes, and after seeing Anna (Debbie Rush) and Roy (David Neilson) whispering together she demands to get some answers.

However, when she learns that Hayley actually committed suicide, she will become enraged with Roy, not only because he didn't actually stop it, but because Anna was made privy to the information first.

In an interview with Radio Times, McAlpine opened up about her character is set to handle the news.

"Fiz is jealous because Anna knew what Hayley was planning. So she feels a bit left out. Fiz's reaction is actually quite selfish and she gets angry with Roy," McAlpine said. "They really do fall out."

It is unclear how a fall-out with Fiz will further affect Roy's currently delicate psyche.

Meanwhile, Nick (Ben Price) is dealing with the fallout of his impending divorce from Leanne (Jane Danson). Though he was the one who suggested the two stop living the way they did, he appears to be spiraling down into a depressed slump.

His change will prompt his mother, Gail (Helen Worth) to ask his physical trainer, Kal (Jimi Mistry) to look after him during training. However, Nick becomes insensitive when Kal tries to give him some advice about how to move on from his marriage, reminding the athletic man that his wife died, whereas Leanne is still alive.

Though Kal will be upset and hurt by Nick's negativity, it will not dissuade him from discussing a potential business opportunity with Dev (Jimmi Harkishin), as the two will discuss opening a gym together.
