New developments have continued coming to light as authorities continue investigating the death of Oscar-Winning Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The 46-year-old actor reportedly admitted to a complete stranger at the Sundance Film Festival two weeks ago that he was a heroin addict, and before Christmas, he reportedly predicted his own fatal demise.

According to The Daily Mail, the actor admitted he had a serious problem when he returned to AA in December following a major relapse that saw him going on three-day binges.

"If I don't stop now, I know I'm going to die," he reportedly said.

The actor, who won an Oscar in 2006 for his role in Capote and who had most recently been seen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, had reportedly spiraled out of control in a relapse that cost him his family.

"It was known he was struggling to stay sober, and girlfriend Mimi O'Donnell had given him some tough love and told him he needed some time away from the kids and to get straight again," a source said.

Hoffman was found in his Manhattan apartment Sunday wearing only his underwear and with a needle reportedly sticking out of his arm. Authorities reportedly found over 50 bags of heroin, 8 bags of "Ace of Spades"-a lethal mix of heroin and fentanyl-and more than two dozen discarded syringes in the actors apartment.

O'Donnell, his estranged girlfriend, told police that she had seen and spoken to the actor the day before he died, and he appeared high both times.

In fact, just days before his death, Hoffman was spotted in Atlanta, where more suspicious behavior was reported.

The actor was spotted drinking, smoking and making repeated suspicious trips to the restroom at an Atlanta bar on Jan. 30.
