The premiere date for Orange is the New Black season 2 may have been revealed via a key Google search.

Laura Prepon Returning for OITNB Season 2?

A Google search of the phrase "Orange is the New Black" reveals an air date for season 2, episode 1 as April 25, 2014. This air date has not yet been confirmed by Netflix or any official reports, but the date falls in line with the planned spring premiere of season 2.

The date was first discovered by WIBX 950, which noted that the date is still unofficial.

Orange is the New Black premiered all 13 episodes of season 1 on July 11, 2013. The Netflix series has developed a sizable fanbase since then, with over 680,000 likes on Facebook and close to 175,000 followers on Twitter.

As for what story lines to expect in season 2, series creator Jenji Kohan has not revealed much. She did, however, clear up rumors that Laura Prepon (who plays Alex) would only be in a few episodes.

"She is coming back," Kohan confirmed to Us Weekly. "Not the whole season, but...you'll see her for most of it."

Danielle Brooks (Taystee) previously told TV Guide about which story lines she'd like to see in future episodes.

"I'm dying to learn more about [Taystee]!" she said. "And some of the guards. How interesting would it be to go into their lives?"

Kohan said that viewers might not learn more about the guards until season 3.

"Knock on wood, if there's a Season 3, we're really talking about focusing in on the guards more then," she said.

Orange is the New Black is scheduled to premiere its second season in spring 2014 on Netfllix. All 13 episodes of season 2 are expected to be available for streaming on the same day.
