'Orange is the New Black' Season 2 Spoilers: Laura Prepon Returning as Alex for 'Most' of 2014 Episodes? [VIDEO]

Laura Prepon fans can rest assured that the actress will be back for most of Orange is the New Black season 2.

Prepon, who plays Alex, the on-again-off-again girlfriend of Piper (Taylor Schilling), was reported to be leaving Orange is the New Black in season 2. Buzzfeed initially reported that Prepon would only return briefly in season 2 to wrap up her character's story before exiting the Netflix series.

However, series creator Jenji Kohan told Us Weekly at the Writer's Guild Awards Saturday that Prepon will definitely be a part of season 2.

"Yes, yes, she is coming back," Kohan confirmed. "Not the whole season, but...you'll see her for most of it."

Orange is the New Black season 2 will focus more on the ensemble rather than lead character Piper, according to Kohan's previous comments. The show runner said that she thinks people are interested in "everybody's journey," not just Piper's.

Danielle Brooks, who plays the wise-cracking Taystee, told TV Guide that she was hoping to learn more about her character in addition to some of the less-seen characters.

"I'm dying to learn more about [Taystee]!" she said. "And some of the guards. How interesting would it be to go into their lives?"

Kohan teased that viewers may see more of the guards, but not until season 3.

"Knock on wood, if there's a Season 3, we're really talking about focusing in on the guards more then," she said.

Orange is the New Black season 2 premieres in 2014 on Netflix, though the streaming service has not yet scheduled a specific premiere date.
