Leyva spoke to Fox News Latino with many of her Orange is the New Black co-stars recently and revealed that the premiere episode of season 2 will be a big one for Gloria.

"What I would like to see happen, happens in season 2. When reading the first episode, I cried," Leyva said. "I had to put it down and come back. The writers develop a beautiful voice for her. Her survival, her toughness will speak to a lot of women. Her story is one that many women will relate to. Season 2 you really get to meet a lot of new characters and you will be surprised at the situations the characters get themselves into."

Jackie Cruz, who plays Flaca on the prison drama, was more tight-lipped than Leyva, but teased that there will be a lot of emotions felt from her character.

"All I can say is keep watching!" she said. "You will be surprised and love it. You will experience all of your emotions in one episode."

Leyva further discussed the significance of having six Latinas on a hit show and how so much more needs to be done for exposure.

"We can't sit around and complain," she asserted. "We must be smart and knowledgeable. We must be prepared and supportive of one another."
