Wong will be coming back for the episode, titled Thought Criminal, which will focus on the life of a famous photographer Simon Wilkes accused of sex crimes. Dr Huang will be asked to step in to help psychoanalyse Wilkes.

Wong played the part of Dr. Wu in Jurassic Park and is set to reprise the role in the fourth installment of the film. Wu was an integral part of the team of scientists funded by John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), InGen's billionaire CEO and the park's creator, in the film.

Law and Order SVU Renewed For Season 16?

In March, speaking with IGN about the fourth installment in the franchise,  director Colin Trevorrow said that Wong's character was in fact a very important one in the Michael Crichton novel on which the film is based.

The director then went on to reveal that Wong would be part of this film because his character made sense in the new story.

"This hasn't been announced yet, but BD Wong will be returning as Dr. Henry Wu," he said. "He had a much larger role in the original novel, he was the engineer of this breakthrough in de-extinction. He spent two decades living in Hammond's shadow, underappreciated. We think there's more to his story."

Thought Criminal will air on 14 May on NBC.
