The Walking Dead is about to return for a fifth season, and actor Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the series, revealed what it's like to have the chance of important characters dying, including his own.

Rick Will Be 'Completely Different' In Season 5?

On June 12, Gold Derby posted a live interview with Reedus, who mentioned that the series has a special theme when it comes to killing off certain characters that audiences may be attached to.

"It's a lot like real life, you always think you have more time with people and you think you have more time on the planet, and that's sort of one of the themes of our show is these are your two feet on the ground and what are you gonna do with your time?" the actor said.

Reedus also pointed out that someone could die pretty much at any point since everyone has something scary going for them.

"Everyone's infected and you know, everyone's clock is ticking so I think it's definitely one of the themes of our show," he said.

The site mentioned that they had an interview with Mindy Kaling who's known for her comedy The Mindy Project where she mentioned that she would be interested in having Reedus be on her show. It turns out that Reedus would be down to be a part of it if he was asked.

"She seems like such a fun person, I would love to be on her show," he said. "It would be a blast."

The Walking Dead Season 5 is expected to premiere in October on AMC.
