The former reality television star, who has a new two-part Kate Plus Eight special on TLC, says that being a single mom to eight children is no easy feat and that she sometimes breaks down from all the pressure she gets on a daily basis.

"I'm one of many single moms out there. It's not ideal. On a very busy day where the logistics aren't lining up -- I have to be here to pick this kid up and I have to be there to do whatever, that happens so often now I can't even tell you," Gosselin says.

Gosselin, who has had stints on reality shows such as Dancing With The Stars and Celebrity Mom Swap, says that she never intended to portray herself as a "super mom" who does it all to the media and that she wishes she had more help around the house with her eight children.

"It's really easy to feel just like saying, 'It's too much.' There's me and there's eight kids," she adds. "I don't think an hour goes by that I'm not reminded that those odds are completely unbalanced.

"It was never my intent to portray myself as superwoman," Gosselin continued. "I mean, I cry behind closed doors, I struggle. But I have to remind myself, this is my one shot. You're going to mess up. Just don't give up."

Gosselin separated and finalized her divorce from ex-husband Jon Gosselin in 2009.
