As filming for season 3 of Arrow is well underway, the show's executive producer Andrew Kreisberg spoke about what fans can expect from the crossover episode of Flash and the CW series.

In an interview with EW dated July 22, Kreisberg spoke about how they were rearing to go for the episode.

"It's really going to be an adventure with the Arrow and Flash on both episodes. Watching the two teams come together and fight alongside each other, it's one of the most fun parts," Kreisberg said. "We just don't believe in waiting. We really believe in accelerated storytelling and especially for those first nine episodes of the season-for both shows-hopefully we've designed it so that none of these [make you say], 'Well, I missed that one, it's fine.'"

The synopsis for the first episode of season 3 was also recently revealed and it states that Oliver will actually be pursuing his lady love as he will ask Felicity out on a date.

The official press release for season 3 of the show was also released earlier this month:

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. He returned home to Starling City, bent on righting the wrongs of his family and fighting injustice.

To do this, he creates the persona of the Arrow and allies himself with former military man John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), street brawler Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) and international assassin Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), while keeping his secret from those closest to him including his sister Thea (Willa Holland), who has allied herself with his most deadly enemy. Rivalries and allegiances will shift as Oliver faces his most difficult challenge yet."

The finale of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on the CW.
