Rayna is about to make a new friend when Nashville returns with an appearance from a Tony Award winner.

Actor's First Song For Season 3 Will Be 'Special'

On Wednesday, Deadline announced that Laura Benanti, who's known for performing on stage, will be joining the series for its third season for a multi-episode arc. Not much has been released on who her character will be except that her name will be Sadie Stone and she'll become friends with Rayna (Connie Britton).

While this news got announced, it turns out there's a little more information on what's to come on the series. On Tuesday, Debra Fordham, one of the writers, tweeted a copy of the script title for the fourth episode in Season 3. The episode is called "I Feel Sorry For Me," which could lead to a number of questions. This could be referring to Rayna, Juliette or any of the other characters who deal with more issues.

Will Layla Get A New Love Interest?

Sam Palladio (Gunnar) recently told Glamour that there might be a possibility of Juliette having a baby on the series although he wasn't positive at that point.

"The notion of Juliette Barnes as a mother would be certainly an interesting thing to watch and I guess it might tame her a little bit," Palladio said. "But yeah at the moment I don't think that's been decided so I'm interested myself. It will certainly affect the character hugely if it does..."

The actor also mentioned that the possible baby could belong to pretty much anyone.

Nashville Season 3 is expected to premiere on Wednesday, September 24 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
