Trevorrow spoke about Pratt's character in an interview in May.

"Chris Pratt's character is doing behavioral research on the raptors. They aren't trained, they can't do tricks," he said. "He's just trying to figure out the limits of the relationship between these highly intelligent creatures and human beings. If people don't think there's potential in those ideas, maybe they won't like this movie. But I ask them to give it a chance."

Jurassic World was also promoted at Comic-Con last month. The official Jurassic World poster was made exclusive to Comic-Con, copies of it were dropped off at various venues at the event in Mercedes trucks from the movie with an Isla Nublar license plate and the logo emblazoned on the vehicle.

The film's poster was also revealed by Trevorrow via Twitter on July 26.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise. Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins also star in the movie.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
