One of the most popular book series is about to make its way onto television that will go into a long and detailed relationship of a famous fictional couple.

'DaVinci's Demons' Season 2 Chatter

On Friday, Hollywood Life posted an interview with Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall) and Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) who will embark on the epic love story Outlander. The story takes place in Scotland where Claire starts a connection with Scottish warrior Jamie who will open up to each other in ways that audiences might find incredible and romantic. The downfall is that Claire is married.

"The Claire and Jamie relationship is sort of a slow burn in a sense," Balfe said. "There's obviously a connection there from the beginning, but it's not love at first sight. It takes a long time for them to get to that point.and even when they get married, it's more of a means to protect Claire than this immediate declaration of love."

'The White Queen' Season 1 Chatter

Even though the story takes place in different centuries since Claire has ben thrown into the past, the connection these two share will something that made the books a hit. If the novels became popular, then that might send good vibes for the television series with questions on what other kinds of details will be exposed.

"They see each other for who they truly are," Heughan said. "They've both got secrets and they're both survivors. This sets their relationship. It just develops throughout the series."

Outlander is set to premiere on Saturday, August 9 at 9 p.m. ET on Starz.
