Country singer Blake Shelton was answering fan questions on Wednesdays, and he sure had a thing or two to say about gossip magazines.

"Ha! And the lies keep coming!" he tweeted as rumors began flooding the internet that he and wife Miranda Lambert were, and then were not, expecting a baby soon.

Shelton continued to remain in good humor as he interacted with fans on the social media site, though his kindness was selective. "If you didn't pursue music what will be your day job?" ashed @IanNeilG on Twitter Wednesday, to which Shelton promptly replied "Starting a gossip column about people who [write] gossip columns."

The Boys 'Round Here singer has never been shy when it comes to his disdain for the gossip surrounding him and Lambert, who is often upset by the rumors.

The latest rumor to which Shelton referred to in his first post is that the pair are expecting their first child. Reports surfaced on Star Magazine and Hollywood Life recently only to be shot down on Wednesday.

Lambert has not publicly commented on the latest rumors, though Hollywood Life claims that Lambert's rep was the one to deny that the singer is pregnant.

Lambert is currently out on tour promoting her new hit album Platinum, which came out on June 3. Shelton's latest album Bringing Back The Shine is set to be released September 30.
