The cast of The CW's The Originals has been boasting training for a big fight sequence for over a week now, and it appears that last night's production for the epic showdown has finally begun.

'Dangerous Alliances' Could Be Fatal For Colin Woodell's Aiden On 'The Originals'

"It's going to be a long and violent night ;) #theOriginals," tweeted star Joseph Morgan on Thursday.

Morgan, who brings Klaus to life on the series, was one of the two actors to mention training last week for some sort of fight sequence. "Today I rehearsed a fight with a very dangerous being," claimed the star on Twitter August 6, suggesting perhaps that his sparring partner for the scene could be Klaus' father Mikael.

The other actor to mention rehearsal for a fight was Sebastian Roche, who plays Mikael. The timing of their training made it seem as if the pair were preparing to take on one another for an upcoming episode of The Vampire Diaries spin-off.

With Morgan's new promise of a "long and violent night," it's possible the fight could take place as early as episode five or six.

The CW star's tease received a lot of fan attention, having been reposted by over 2,300 people and favorites by nearly 5,000 in less than 12 hours.

The Originals returns to The CW for a second season on a new night Monday, October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
