The cast of A&E's Longmire may have other projects in the works as the series awaits renewal, but that doesn't mean the stars aren't committed to their beloved show.

'Longmire' Author Discusses TV & Books As 'Different Art Forms'

Last week Vulture shot down rumors that Longmire actress Katee Sackhoff (Victoria) is in talks to play Ms. Marvel in an upcoming superhero film.

"As of this moment, I have not sat down with anybody from Marvel for any role specifically," explained the actress. "But that doesn't necessarily mean that something with Marvel is completely off the table for the future."

'Longmire' Stars Keep Busy As Series Awaits Renewal

It's no surprise superhero flicks are quite a commitment, particularly with the tendency for sequels, but even if Sackhoff does sign a deal with Marvel, it doesn't mean she'll be leaving Longmire anytime soon.

Though the series has yet to be renewed for a fourth season, Vulture assured fans that Sackhoff remains dedicated to the crime drama even with a number of film projects in the works.

"Any time I can play a strong female that's a role model, it's a good day," admitted Sackhoff, who turned heads with bold performances on both Battlestar Galactica and Longmire.

With a strong fanbase, Longmire remains the network's highest-rated scripted series, which does suggest the show will be renewed before the year is out. In 2013 the drama was not picked up for another season until October and so there are still another two months before fans should start to seriously worry.

If A&E does elect to renew Longmire for a fourth season, the series will likely return June 2015.
