Liz Keen's (Megan Boone) duplicitous husband ended the freshman season with a bullet in his chest, but the TV trope of 'no body, no death' may soon come into play. Unfortunately, the mystery of Tom's (Ryan Eggold) missing corpse won't be addressed in the premiere.

"I do love that character, and it's hard to imagine the show without him, but I don't know what I could say to give any hope to Tom," said executive producer Jon Bokenkamp, according to TV Line. "There won't be any big discoveries right away."

Fans shouldn't despair, however, Tom's fate will definitely be addressed before the sophomore run comes to a close. As for Tom's revelation that Liz's father is alive, that is one case that will take Liz quite a bit more effort to close. Luckily, Liz's decision to stick with Red (James Spader) means she has continued access to the only person who may know the whole truth about her childhood.
