Jason Morgan was played by Steve Burton from 1991 to 2012 before the actor signed on to The Young and the Restless as Dylan McAvoy. The character was thought to be dead, but the body was never uncovered. Mr. Morgan will return to Port Charles for "an exciting new story" with many shocking details.

"Who is excited for Jason Morgan's return?! #GH," the show wrote on Twitter on Sept. 2.

Miller, who came to The Young and the Restless in 2008, had his last appearance on the show in January. His first appearance on General Hospital doesn't have an air date yet.
