Shemar Moore announced that he will soon reprise his role as Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless for two special episodes, and he's clearly excited for his return.

Shemar Moore Speaks On His Return To 'Y&R'

The 44-year-old shared a photo on Instagram of a recent encounter with former co-star Victoria Rowell. The actress appeared on the CBS soap opera from 1990 to 2007 as Drucilla Winters, Malcolm's secret love interest.

"Malcolm And Drucilla Winters... Reunited... I ran into an O'l friend, Victoria Rowell just the other day.. Hadn't seen each other in many years.. Nothing but love to her and my Y&R Family that helped me get my career started!!!!" he wrote as the caption. "Excited to Go Home n see my Old Friends.."

Fans Still Outraged Over The Adam Newman Recast News

It's not likely that Rowell's character will return to the show since Drucilla is supposed to be dead. But, then again, anything seems to be possible in Genoa City.

Moore will make his return for the first time since 2005. His character will appear on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and Sept. 11 to make amends with his family. He will be reunited with his on-screen brother, Neil, played by Kristoff St. John.

The Criminal Minds star also said he hopes his September appearance won't be the last.

"The fans haven't forgotten about me and it's nice to see the excitement is still there," Moore recently told The New York Post. "And I hope it's not the only time I can do this. I hope they write [the episodes] in a way that maybe this is something I can do from time to time."
