Steven Krueger, who plays fan-favorite Josh on the series, is especially pumped for the show to return.

Leading up to the pic, which featured a camera, crew, and a number of onlookers, Hastings shared a few photos from earlier in the day, which included some shots from New Orleans' Preservation Hall.

The Jazz club, which was established in 1961, was utilized for one or more social scenes, which possibly includes a number of leading characters. Stars Leah Pipes (Cami) and Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley) are both confirmed by Hastings's photos to be in New Orleans with the crew, suggesting the scene could perhaps revolve around them. In spite of the long hours and grueling schedule, Hastings praised the show's crew on Twitter Sunday, snapping a group selfie before the night shooting began.

The Originals returns to The CW for its second season on a new night Monday, October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
