Ever since A&E elected to cancel Longmire last month, fans have been listing the reasons why the series should find a new home for Season 4. Actress Cassidy Freeman, however, had a very special reason for the popular crime drama to stay put.

Cast Says 'Longmire' Bond Was 'Deep And Real' 

On Sunday the actress, who plays Walt Longmire's daughter Cady on the show, posted a rather endearing photo as she made her case for Season 4.

While her post was surely a playfully one, Freeman's dog sure made an impression on fans, who declared the pic the "cutest" thing they could have seen.

Freeman isn't the only one fighting to keep the Longmire spirit alive. Fans, cast, crew, and even the author of the book series on which the program is based have flocked to Twitter to voice their support. The #LongLiveLongmire hashtag is used daily by fans all over the world who want to see their favorite show survive.

Producers are currently shopping the drama around with other networks, though no formal offers have been made public. If Longmire does return for a fourth season on a new network, it will likely do so during the second half of 2015.
