While The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple Teresa and Joe Giudice seem to be inseparable since they were sentenced to jail earlier this month, recent reports reveal authorities have ordered them to separate their finances.

TMZ reported the news Sunday and said that a judge has ruled the couple needs to put a wedge between their money affairs.

So now they must keep their business and personal finances separate from one another. On top of that they are legally bound to pay more than $400,000 in restitution after they pleaded guilty to several fraud charges earlier this year.

The site added that the judge might have put the separation in place in order to prevent the spouse's from helping one another pay down their new debt. On top of that, the judge made it clear that "anonymous letters and phone calls from the public in regards to sentencing" did not play a part in Teresa being handed 15 months behind bars and Joe being sentenced to three years.

A wall between the Giudices financial matters could be a positive thing as rumors also circulate that the couple has huge disagreements when it comes to their money.

An insider told Radar Online Wednesday, "She needs to cash in wherever she can because once Teresa goes to prison, the money will stop coming. With Teresa behind bars, Joe will be forced to get a paying job.

Joe is stressing Teresa about their finances, as she has been the breadwinner fot he family in recent years."

Teresa begins her sentencing in January. Joe will start his once she is finished.
