As filming of season 3 of House of Cards is currently underway and the plot has been kept under tight lock and key, a lot of speculation has been doing the rounds, and one of the main points of contentions to be engaged has to do with who might be killed off next.

Next Chapter Of House of Cards To Premiere In February?

This subject has come up again as recently Kevin Spacey, who plays Frank Underwood on the Netflix show, was spotted filming a funeral scene in Maryland. The most obvious inference would be that he is attending Doug Stamper's (Michael Kelly) funeral but there is always room for a shocking detour. Also, in both it's seasons the series has given fans a decent taste of death with Frank's morbidity to boot.

We have three candidates, we suspect might be killed off in the next season (fans are welcome to weigh in in the comments section).

Show Runner Beau Willimon To Play On Sound Score Of Season 3?

Frank himself might be in danger as in the original British series he is murdered by his own wife in the third season. So Claire (Robin Wright) will bloody her hands this time around with the heartlessness of Lady Macbeth. But Frank is equally vile and if the writers want to render a twist, so the show may run on for another season with Frank in power, they might have him catch up to Claire's scheming, and do away with her before she can act.

The other person, who might make for Frank's next victim could journalist Ayla Sayyad (Mozhan Marno), who is expected to return and cause trouble for the President. It has also been suggested that Lucas (Sebastian Arcelus) might get out of jail and become another thorn for Frank as seeks to avenge his girlfriend Zoe's (Kate Mara) death.

The third season of House of Cards will film in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
