Austin Mahone is getting ready to release his debut record very soon and is busy currently recording in the studio wherever he goes. That means even when the 18-year-old is on the road in South America, he's still recording.

Although Mahone released his EP The Secret in May of 2014, fans cant wait for his full-length record and with good reason! Here are five reasons we can't wait for Mahone to make new music.

1) Fun Guest Stars!

Mahone has worked with singers such as Pitbull and Flo Rida before, but now the singer is expanding to different styles. We'd love to hear Drake on his new album since Mahone has been basically begging to work with the rapper since the start of his career.

2) New Styles Of Music

Although Mahone is known for ballads and pop, the Mmm Yeah singer admitted he was trying new genres out. "We have awesome songs lined up and a lot of good people I'm working with," Mahone has said to the Daily Tribune Music. "I'm probably going to stick with pop for the most part," Mahone said, "but I'll try some different styles, too. I'm gonna jump out to a little more EDM, maybe some R&B, different stuff like that."

3) Mahone's Older Now

With a rumored GF in Camila Cabello and crushes on Rihanna, we can't wait to hear what Mahone will say now that he's officially 18 and lived a little longer.

4) He Talks About Issues

Mahone has also been outspoken in his work to try to get teens to put down their phones while driving. "In this generation, it's all about Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and everyone's always on their phones, so it's like, chill out," Mahone said during a high school appearance in New York, according to WGRZ NBC. "just put your phone to the side cause it's actually the number one death in teens is getting in crashes...messing with your phone, so put your phones down."

5) He's Working With Max Martin

Earlier this fall, Mahone revealed he's been working with hit maker Max Martin on his new record. Martin created hits for such celebs as Taylor Swift, so Mahomies can only imagine the magic with Mahone.
