With the next Divergent series movie headed into post-production, the stars are talking a little bit about the experience they had and the lead star says that she had an amazing time working with the new director and her co-stars again.

Shailene Woodley Teases 'More Grounded' Film In 'Insurgent'

Speaking with Hollywood Life last week, Shailene Woodley talked briefly about working with her co-stars again in Insurgent and what new director, Robert Schwentke, was like compared to others she has worked with.

"It was awesome. We filmed in Atlanta for about five months and the director was amazing," Woodley said. "He was completely an actor's director as they like to say, which means he was very available for us and grounded and helped us establish these character."

'Insurgent' Star Talks About Growing Up In The Movies & Her New Indie Film

These comments are about the same as she has been making recently, which means that Schwentke could be returning for the next two movies, especially if Insurgent does even better than Divergent did. The previous director, Neil Burger, didn't return.

Woodley seemed upbeat about the new movie and has previously stated that the relationships between her character, Tris, and the others is what is central for the film with a lot more action than before. It seems like she is happy to focus on the interaction between Tris and Four and try and flesh out that relationship during this movie.

The film comes from a script by Brian Duffield and Akiva Goldsman. It stars Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Kate Winslet, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Zoe Kravitz, Naomi Watts, Ray Stevenson and Octavia Spencer.

Insurgent opens in theaters on March 20, 2015 with the next movie, Allegiant, coming in 2016 and 2017 in split parts much like The Hunger Games.
