To say that the Spider-Man franchise is in flux at Sony is an understatement. Actors don't know what they are doing moving forward and the whole thing could be considered be a bad joke at times. Is Sony Planning Another Team Movie With No Spider-Man?

Felicity Jones spoke with GQ on Monday to discuss her role in the upcoming, The Theory of Everything, but also dished about her future with Spider-Man after her small role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and much like the other actors, she did not seem to know what her future was.

"Being vacuum-packed into a leather suit, doing backflips?! I'd love that," Jones said. "Can you start a petition for me?"

Marvel Head Addresses Spider-Man Rumors, Is The Hero Coming To Marvel Soon?

There have been recent rumors that Sony is planning a female superhero team for their 2017 slot and Jones' Black Cat could be included in that movie.

She could also just be talking in general about playing the role and could be waiting for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 should it happen.

Jones was relegated to a small role in the second movie, but with a possible Oscar nomination on the way for her role in the Stephen Hawking biopic, Sony could look at her new fame as a catalyst to give her some time in the female-led movie in 2017.

Either way, it is anyone's guess, including Jones', if she will be in any future Spider-Man movies.
