Usain Bolt, the Jamaican sprinter who recently won gold for the men's 100-meter finals, will have a shot at playing for the English legendary soccer team Manchester United, according to Yahoo! Sports.

A source told Yahoo that the star athlete will be given a "trial" with the team; Bolt will be invited to Manchester United's training base to prove his talents and see how he can keep up with the players.

After his win at the men's finals on Sunday, Bolt told reporters that he always had a passion for soccer, mentioning United, and that he was confident he had the physical capabilities to make it as a professional player on a team.

"Just like everyone else, the players are huge fans of Bolt and have massive respect for him. We would love to have him along," the source told Yahoo, regarding the possibility of Bolt being a part of the United team. "After he spoke about the club after the most-watched race in the world...We would welcome him with open arms, and it would certainly make all the boys and the coaching staff pretty excited to meet him and see his skills. They would love to see what he has got with the ball."

Instead of sporting his traditional bright yellow shirt with the name of Jamaica written across his chest, fans might soon enough see Bolt with the United uniform.
