With the first two episodes for the second season of Penny Dreadful completed, the Showtime series dug into some all new material this week.

'Penny Dreadful' Star Dishes On Vanessa Ives' 'Demons'

Director Damon Thomas took over for James Hawes this month, and while Thomas is a lot less open about the sets, he did offer a sneak peek on Wednesday.

Why 'Penny Dreadful' Is Spending So Much Time In Graveyards

The Victorian supernatural drama spent much time filming in graveyards and on street corners for the premiere, but it looks like some of the old familiar sets from Season 1 will still make an appearance. The image Thomas shared showed Sir Malcolm's (Timothy Dalton) home, which was featured predominantly during the first season as the place where Vanessa Ives (Eva Green), Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway), and Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) came together. On Monday Thomas had shared another, more subdued photo as they prepped for production.

It's possible the new season could take place in part on the water, or at least return to the coast as it did during Vanessa's flashback episode. A return to Vanessa's old home could be significant, particularly because of the history between Sir Malcolm's family and her own.

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second season in 2015.
