A new report reveals that in the upcoming episode of The Good Wife Alicia's (Julianna Margulies) campaign for state's attorney might be threatened by a joke she shared with her daughter.

Alicia And Finn To Be Romantically Involved In The Good Wife?

With it's 2014 fall finale preview, TVLine teases fans with spoilers from the upcoming episode, titled The Trial, of the CBS legal drama. While as is evident from the title, the episode will be about Cary's (Matt Czuchry) predicament about testifying against Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter) for a plea bargain against if his resolve not to, which would mean more prison time for him, possibly a good 15 years. But a new detail about the show, as revealed by the report, states that Alicia's campaign will suffer on account of a joke between the "mother and the daughter."

The preview clip for the episode shows Cary running against time as he needs to decide if he will rat out on Lemond Bishop for his own freedom.

Another Peter-Related Controversy To Threaten Alicia's Campaign

In the clip, a lawyer from the state's attorney's office is seen telling Cary that they are willing to offer a lighter sentence if he testifies against Bishop. Although Cary responds in the negative stating he can't do that, he is seen struggling over the rest of the promo.

Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is also seen expressing concern, cautioning Cary against doing something, -- seemingly snitching on Bishop -- which Cary doesn't seem to take too well, as he says that he is not prepared to spend 15 years in prison. The tension is built up until the end, where Cary is seen in court as the judge asks him if he'd like to revise his plea.

The Trial will air on November 23 on CBS at 9 pm ET.
