There will be a lot to deal with after the events of the next Avengers movie puts Thor in a completely different place than he has ever been, but could a clone version of the God of Thunder be on the way thanks to Iron Man?

Visions From His Past Could Haunt Thor At The Beginning Of 'Ragnarok'

As part of the Civil War plot (which will be ongoing in both Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America 3), Tony Stark creates a clone version of Thor, using his hair, and calls it Ragnarok (ironic with the title of the next movie). At this point in the comics, Thor had died, which is a rumor that is floating around about the next Avengers movie.

While there have been rumors that Thor could perish in Avengers 2, it would lead to the hero showing up in Hel during Thor 3, which is where the character would start at the beginning of that movie. In turn, Stark could create Ragnarok to have on his side as he begins to clash with Steve Rogers and could make this version during the next Captain America.

Could Ms. Loki Make An Appearance In 'Thor 3?'

The only problem right now is dealing with the business side as Chris Hemsworth's contract would most likely not permit him to take part in both films. After the next Avengers, Hemsworth will have two more movies with Marvel (as of now Thor 3 and Avengers 3) and would be unable to join in as Ragnarok in additional films.

Hemsworth also seems like one of the main Avengers that would not re-up his deal in order to be a part of new movies as he may be done once his contract completes. The actor is starting to branch out on franchises of his own and may want to move on from Marvel.

While the clone version of Thor would be an interesting direction to go, it may have to not happen or happen in some way without Hemsworth as the actor will most likely be done soon.
