CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will soon say goodbye to Nick Stokes.

'CSI Las Vegas' Season 15: Episode Order Cut, Why Will CBS Drama Drop To 18 Episodes?

The last remaining member of the original cast, actor George Eads will lay down his latex gloves at the end of season 15, according to TV Guide.

Currently a Level 3 Crime Scene Investigator, Stokes entered Las Vegas' CSI world back in the 2000 pilot. As Grissom (William Peterson), Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan), Catherine Willows (Marge Helgenberger), and Capt. Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) slowly faded from the series' ranks, Stokes stuck around, even after suffering a demotion.

Now, the case of the Gig Harbor killer will ultimately cause Stokes to leave the series, according to TV Guide. It is currently unknown whether his departure will be by choice or via body bag.

The Gig Harbor killings were cases DB Russell (Ted Danson) worked back in Washington. Although Jared Briscoe (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) was imprisoned for the crimes, the sudden introduction of his twin brother Paul Winthrop (Gosselaar) has thrown the old case into disarray.

Find out how the twins factor into Stokes' departure in episode 18.
