Now that X-Men has found its big bad, will the Four Horseman be next to join the cast or will a few known characters be joining up first?

'X-Men: Apocalypse' Has Cast Its Villain, But Why Should We Be So Excited?

Variety broke earlier this week that Oscar Isaac was set to join X-Men: Apocalypse as the titular villain, which sets up the franchise for what could be its biggest adversary yet. But one thing that is still needed for this villain to be at full power are his Four Horseman and while they won't reveal what characters those will be, there could always be options.

The most rumored one right now is Archangel joining the cast again with Ben Foster reprising his role from X-Men: The Last Stand as a younger version of the character. Foster hasn't said anything about wanting to reprise the role but having Archangel come back would make for an interesting addition to the Horseman.

Is This Oscar-Winning 'Star Wars' Actress Still A Possibility For 'X-Men: Apocalypse?'

There is also the possibility that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine could be an option as the character was a Horseman a few times during the comics. Jackman has said before that he is excited about where the character is headed moving forward and that the new direction is what made him want to come back to the role.

Maybe that new direction is Jackman taking on a sort of villainous role, something the actor has been doing lately with his upcoming roles in Pan and Chappie. Wolverine could be looking to go darker in this film and that's a way he could do that.

Other than that, it could be that the series is looking to add some more minor characters into the roles, but it would be a good bet that at least one well-known character will be joining the bad guys on this one.
