There will be a host of old and news faces (and old names with new faces) in the next X-Men movie, but could one new face be added after being cut from one of the upcoming features that will tie the universe together?

An Original 'X-Men' Cast Member Shows Interest In Returning To The Role

One name that has been surfacing a lot as a possible addition to the next X-Men movie is Cable. The mutant with time-travel ability could be a major player in the plot that could pit him up against a comic book foe of his in Apocalypse. With Apocalypse cast, it would seem likely that this character could be the next inclusion.

A reason why Cable could work his way into the next X-Men movie is because he was originally supposed to be in the Deadpool standalone with Ryan Reynolds, but was cut out to make sure he was introduced during Apocalypse rather than this spin-off.

Channing Tatum Could Appear In 'X-Men: Apocalypse' In This Capacity

It would makes sense that he was included since the creator of both characters, Rob Liefeld, has been vocal about bringing both of them to the big screen. It is also likely that Fox may want to capitalize on Cable and use him in their bigger movie before allowing him to show up in the spin-off that could not pan out.

It also is likely that this character could become a big name within the universe and could play a role in both the Deadpool and Wolverine spin-offs as there are possibilities that those two characters could team-up again in the near future.

Not to mention the rumored, if not crazy, plot for the Deadpool movie that could have him going back in time, with the help of Cable, to take out the version of the character that we saw previously played by Reynolds.
