It looks like Bravo is pulling all the strings to make sure there is plenty of on-screen drama for the next season of the Real Housewives of New York. Rumor has it that show producers have asked Bethenny Frankel's ex-husband Jason Hoppy to appear on the show without her consent.

According to Radar Online on Friday, Hoppy was approached to make a "surprise appearance" behind Frankel's back.

An insider said, "Bravo thought having Bethenny and Jason work out their ongoing issues related to the divorce in front of the camera would be ratings gold. These scenes Bethenny has filmed with the other ladies have been rather boring, and producers have been disappointed."

Despite their efforts, it doesn't look like Hoppy is on board with Bravo's plans.

The source added, "Jason turned it down flatly because he wants nothing to do with the show ever again! As for trying to resolve the major problems facing Bethenny and Jason, it just won't happen."

Meanwhile, it doesn't look like Frankel wants her current boyfriend Michael Cerussi from appearing on the show, either.

According to Radar Online last Tuesday, Frankel wants to make sure that her relationship with the financial banker stays under wraps, both on and off screen.

A source close to the single mom told the site, "Bethenny is being very secretive about Michael, and their relationship whenever she has been filming. For her this time, she doesn't want there to be a strong focus on her personal life."
