The Jodi Arias retrial resumed Monday morning.

A Jodi Arias Retrial Juror Was Arrested, Which Is Cause For Delay

Last week on Monday, the retrial initially resumed, but then came to a sudden stop since Judge Sherry Stephens ordered the jurors away after a status conference played out mainly at Stephens' bench as reported by USA Today.

It was speculated that there were scheduling conflicts, which delayed the retrial from continuing on last week; however, Radar Online and The National Enquirer reported last Tuesday that juror no. 3 was arrested, which is the actual reason behind the sudden delay.

Jurors In Jodi Arias Retrial Given Another Week Off

Then, even with the jurors on hiatus, an evidentiary hearing was held last Thursday in regard to the porn allegations involving Travis Alexander's computer as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix.

The retrial has officially resumed though with the jury accounted for as reported by ABC15 Arizona.

It was reported that Arias' defense team put another expert witness on stand for testimony. Psychologist Robert Geffner who is a domestic violence expert testified Monday.

It was also reported that the defense's motion to take the death penalty off the table is pending on the grounds that police detectives deleted pornography files from Alexander's computer, but the prosecution is denying those allegations.

Radar Online reported Friday that Arias could eventually walk free. The site spoke with lawyer Beth Karas who told them, "If Arias gets the death penalty, this case could come back with a new trial ordered," since another trial in Arizona also recently dealt with police misconduct, which led to the Arizona Court of Appeals to dismiss a case against Debra Jean Milke.
