On Sunday, DNA India announced that Kapoor's mother, Neetu, may want her son to get married as soon as possible. But at the same time, the decision to do so is left to him. But whenever he makes the plan, his mother is apparently going to be ready for him.

So does this mean that the Bollywood actor is prepared to tie the knot with his rumored girlfriend? According to the site, Ranbir's mother was asked this question.

"But when asked if he is actually ready, Neetu also replied back saying that she does not feel Ranbir is ready at the moment and that his marriage might take another year or two," the site wrote.

Even though a wedding may not happen in a short amount of time, the public might want to anticipate what's going to happen between now and the end of 2016.

In an interview posted on The Times of India last fall, Kaif mentioned that she cares very much for Kapoor although she didn't say if they were in a relationship or not.

"I care a lot for him and feel protective about him," the actress said. "He was the capacity to be an extremely talented actor and a deeply evolved, highly intellectual and sensitive human being at the same time. He has the capacity and I can see the height of his potential."
