Former Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Benzino has called out the hit VH1 franchise for being fake and ruining many of cast member's lives.

Benzino Blasts 'Love & Hip Hop' Creator 'She Should Be Ashamed Of Herself'

Benzino spoke with DJ Vlad of Vlad-TV and called out the creator and executive producer of the shows, Mona Scott Young, for setting up situations that are bound to have a dramatic outcome.

While viewers tune in for entertainment, Benzino pointed out that several lives are impacted once the cameras stop rolling.

"When you look at all of the guys, everybody on here because of the show ends up going worst off before they got off. You get put in situations that they couldn't control their emotions. Mona and them are making millions and millions of dollars off of the pain and suffering.

"There's theories of molding this formula of the old love triangle - two girls fighting for one guy. They actually manipulate statements involving it just for story lines just to get 'Next week on Love & Hip Hop' to show someone getting punched."

He referenced a preview in which Moniece Slaughter attacked Amanda Secor on Love & Hip Hop Hollywood when she grabbed her hair and hit her head on the table.

During the interview also credited shows like WeTV's Tamar & Vince for being a positive reality television series as others tend to promote negative behavior. Interestingly enough, he and his fiancée Althea Heart made an appearance on Tamar & Vince on the show's season finale as they are good friends with stars Tamar Braxton & Vince Herbert.
