Taking into account the recent development regarding Mark Wahlberg's involvement with the Age of Extinction franchise, a few things have become clearer about the Transformers 5 plot.

Quintessons To Be The Prime Villains In Transformers 5?

Up until recently, a great amount of speculation surrounded the Transformers 5 plot as Michael Bay had reportedly quit the franchise and there was no word on if the star cast would be reprising their roles. Another possibility was being engaged,in that the next movie will have nothing to do with mortals, and will take place in cybertron, where Optimus Prime is headed to find his creator. In that scenario there will be a bunch of voice actors.

Many pop culture websites had been doing a whole lot of brain storming about how the Transformers saga will continue with the fifth in the instalment, and who the new players might be. Developments in the discussion hinted at the arrival of the creators of the Transformers, on earth. In the climax of Age of Extinction, Optimus Prime was headed to Cybertron to meet his creators and it was mostly assumed that he would not play a dominant role in the sequel, which is also set to take place on mortal ground. But now that we know that Wahlberg will be starring as Cade Yaeger in the next instalment, one thing is clear, the movie will take place on earth, but that could mean it would happend without Optimus Prime, who would be away.
