Heartthrob Jamie Dornan recently sat down with Variety for a two hour-long interview, and the actor opening up about his new sexy role as Mr. Christian Grey.

Fifty Shades of Grey has become a global phenomenon over the last few months, and fans have become mesmerized with the characters in the novel turned film.

Mr. Grey is a self-made billionaire, who's not only very successful, but also breathtakingly handsome.

To some fans, there's no better person in the world to play the male protagonist, and it's evident that Dornan has done an exceptional job.

It's no secret that starring in this role would be easy, but Dornan says he felt very strongly about playing the role and he was definitely a little bit nervous.

During this sit down with Variety, Dornan told the cameras that he flew to Los Angeles for the testing and later that night, film director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, called him and let him know that he got the part.

Dornan, who stars alongside Dakota Johnson, said that his favorite scene to shoot was when Mr. Grey and Anastasia Steele met for the first time.

The actor said that he has already seen an early version of the film, and he has nothing but high praise for the production.

Dornan admitted that he started reading E. L. James' erotic novel after he got the part of Mr. Grey, and he used the book as preparation for his role.

Viewers can see more of Dornan in the new film Fifty Shades of Grey when the movie hits theaters on Feb. 13.
