If you've been cheering for Miles Morales to become Marvel/Sony's newest Spider-Man, the studios may be ready to grant your wish.

Jeff Sneider of The Wrap used announced last week that there is a 95% chance that Captain America: Civil War's web slinger won't be white.

"Listen, this is not set in stone guys, but I'm telling you right now, Spider-Man's not going to be white," Sneider said on a podcast, according to Hypable. "Spider-Man's not going to be white. I'm 95% sure. Spider-Man's going to be most likely black. But there's a chance he could also be Latino. 95% sure, not white."

Previous reports indicated that Sony/Marvel was looking at Teen Wolf's Dylan O'Brien and Percy Jackson's Logan Lerman for the role, but those two actors may be out of luck.

"White actors are still going out for Spider-Man but their reps are telling me they think Sony is leaning 'ethnic,'" Sneider tweeted.

Considering Sony has put out two Peter Parker origin stories, it is high time the studio moved on to Mr. Morales. Another Uncle Ben death won't be necessary if Miles' storyline makes it to the screen.
